Although 2011 has not finished yet, the H&M brand is already preparing for the next 2012 year. The Swedish fashion retailer has recently published an official H&M Spring 2012 lookbook.
The future H&M collection will be based on all those trendy models of clothes that could be seen on the international catwalk (except, perhaps, the fashionable “vegetable” print, promoted by Dolce&Gabbana). Trendy clothes from H&M for the next spring include stylish collarless blazers, asymmetrical blouses, skirts and dresses in pastel colors or, vice versa, very bright and almost neon colors. The brand’s new collection also contains a few quite nontrivial models, resembling a cut of the Japanese kimono.

It is difficult to believe, but this modern brand is 125 years old! It began its history in 1886, as Mike Brown, the merchant, and the tailor of corsets Johann Gottfried Spiesshofer were the first to make the production of lingerie large-scale and affordable.
Who would have dared to think that a tiny corset factory in southern Germany could become the world’s leading underwear brand! Today, after 125 years, the business, which started small with only six sewing machines and six employees, has a global reach. Its 37,500 employees work in more than 120 countries. And at the same time, the Triumph brand is still in the hands of the founding family.
Triumph has decided to celebrate the anniversary by reminding its consumers about its rich history. To commemorate this event, a Vintage Collection has been released. Among the products, one will find not only traditional bras and panties, but vintage corsets as well. The materials – satin, lace and silk – are also chosen with a vintage chic.
The style of the limited anniversary collection corresponds to the spirit of the past: high-waisted panties, and a special form of bra cups. The colors are classic: white, pink, and black. The customers have immediately noted that this retro-lingerie is incredibly comfortable!

The jubilee of the Triumph brand is another reason to learn a little more about the company, to remember the “golden” pages of its history, to see how the standards of beauty and lingerie have been changing.

For the past few seasons, they have already become a good tradition. The spring-summer 2012 White by Vera Wang collection will be even more successful – primarily due to the diversity of styles.
The new wedding collection by Vera Wang contains the models which are radically opposite in style. These are both lush and classic wedding gowns, resembling ballroom dresses for a fairy tale princess, and the tiny, short white gowns for the brides with a more daring opinion of wedding traditions. The best news for the designer’s fans is extremely low prices: the prices for wedding shoes and accessories start at $88, the prices for bridesmaids’ dresses are from $158, and luxurious wedding gowns will cost from $500 to $1500.

H & M to Collaborate with Tom Ford

No sooner has the H&M collection by Donatella Versace appeared in stores, as the Swedish brand announced the name of a new contender for the cooperation. Soon, we might witness its collaboration with Tom Ford.
In any case, this is what Margaret van den Bosch, the creative head of the brand, wants. She is confident that “Ford is a very interesting name in the fashion world,” whom she “would not mind working with.”
Of course, we’ll be looking forward to hearing the designer‘s reply to the offer. Though to tell the truth, we are not sure that a positive answer will be given: Tom Ford has been so eager to get away from the mass market in his own projects that even his showings are held in “private”, and he is unlikely to be involved in cooperation with the most popular democratic brand in the world. But we will keep our fingers crossed. And you?
