Jason Wu for Target

Jason Wu
Following his colleagues from the fashion industry, the American designer, Jason Wu, has announced his plans to create a limited collection of fashionable women’s clothing and accessories for the Target fashion-retailer. Rodarte, Zac Posen, and more recently, Missoni have launched their collections for the brand.
According to the tradition of such joint collections, the distinguishing feature of the collection created by Jason Wu for Target will be very low prices for the models. The designer assures the quality of clothes will not suffer. “My collection for Target is stylish and practical,” Jason Wu said, adding that all women would like it.
Wu’s collection for Target includes basis clothes for everyday, exquisite and feminine evening and cocktail dresses, as well as the accessories to create a complete wardrobe. The date of presenting the capsule collection on sale is unknown.

Chanel SS 2012 Collection

Chanel SS 2012 Collection
Just as Marc Jacobs in his collection for Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2012, Karl Lagerfeld dared to have a radical change of images while creating a new collection for Chanel that was shown at the closing of Fashion Week in Paris.nstead of the dark and “volcanic” atmosphere of the fall-winter 2011-2012 showing, the SS 2012 collection is characterized by the ease and naturalness of the underwater world: shells, corals and rocks polished by the tide served as the natural scenery for the spring-summer 2012 collection.
For Karl Lagerfeld, lightness is a key element of spring-summer collection: the new fabrics (which even the designer himself was unable to describe) have complemented the collection with pearl shining. The strings of pearls instead of the traditional waistbands and the brightest hues are used to advantage.

Jimmy Choo Turns 15

Jimmy Choo Turns 15

Perhaps there is no woman of fashion who would not know about Jimmy Choo. This year the iconic brand celebrates 15 years since the day of its foundation. Fans are offered a real glossy bible of the brand entitled Jimmy Choo XV.
The glossy volume of Jimmy Choo XV tells us about how the brand started, how it developed out of an ordinary cobbler shop to the most famous glamorous brand in the world.
Everything really started from an ordinary shoe shop in London’s East End. This place was noticed by an intelligent, beautiful, and young woman – Tamara Mellon, the editor of the accessories section in the British Vogue magazine.
In the book, Tamara dwells on how the idea of creating a brand out of a workshop appeared. She also talks about her love for handmade things.

“My goal was to capture women’s hearts all around the world and to create a luxury brand that will inspire every woman”, Tamara writes in the preface. And so it happened, you see!

Dolce & Gabbana SS 2012 Jewelry

Dolce & Gabbana SS 2012 Jewelry
While the Miuccia Prada and Stella McCartney introduced the fashion for various fruit patterns in spring-summer 2011, Dolce & Gabbana fashion brand became an absolute trendsetter in the spring-summer 2012 season. The Italian designers suggested a new, bright, colorful, and definitely eye-catching “vegetable” pattern, with which most items of the Dolce & Gabbana spring-summer wardrobe were adorned.
The “vegetable” theme continues in jewelry, which will surely please the fans of original adornments. The Dolce & Gabbana Spring-Summer 2012 jewelry collection is a real jewelry “salad”: a gold chain bracelet with miniature pendants in the form of pepper, tomato, and onion; rings in the form of mini garlic heads; a pasta necklace, looking just like the real one.

And what about the salad on your wrist?

We do love the idea of Dolce & Gabbana, but we don’t think it’s for everyone. Not because it’s too much – but because it looks so tasty. In case some girl wearing the jewelry from Dolce & Gabbana collection for the Spring-Summer 2012 season is on a diet, she’ll never be able to achieve her weight goals with that delicious looking stuff on her wrist or in the ears.

Lanvin SS 2012 Collection

Lanvin SS 2012 Collection
Alber Elbaz, the creative director of Lanvin, never stops repeating that the source of inspiration, which the designer is guided by before working at another collection, often has little to do with the final result.
Spring-Summer 2012 collection, presented by Lanvin at the Fashion Week in Paris, was another example of this phenomenon in Elbaz’s creative activity. The collection of the famous designer had been inspired by the images of the angels, fallen into hell, but in the process of creating the collection, the angels turned into quite real contemporary women.
It is this kind of a “return” that explains quite a modern silhouette at the basis of Lanvin Spring-Summer 2012 collection, an original and raised shoulder line, rigorous and clear lines of the items opening the show. However, the new collection presented by Lanvin is full of contrasts: strict suits and dresses with raised “sharp” shoulders coexist with exquisite ensembles in Lanvin’s traditional style. They are incredibly feminine, with their delicate silk which smoothly outlines the contours of the female figure.

Karl Lagerfeld is launching Women Wear

Karl Lagerfeld is launching Women Wear
Karl Lagerfeld is launching a new line of women wear. It is going to be a very affordable line titled Karl. It is a rock n roll inspired collection which Karl believes is going to be a success. He made this line according to what people like to dress up these days. Lagerfeld describes this line as a very contemporary line and what people prefer these days.

He also says that the objective of this line is an affordable wear. He also stated that his previous partners were more in to the commercial stream and they wanted to be Chanel andFendi but Karl doesn’t think that way.

The range has a hundred pieces and it includes evening and day wear. Black backless dresses and silver jeans are also found in the collection. The range will initially launch online but later there are plans to open a Karl Lagarfeld store and temporary boutiques.

The collection will be available on Net-a-porter.com and is expected to be a huge success. The inspiration behind the ideas of Karl’s line goes with its global online launch. Things are being done in the 21st century way.
