London Is the Fashion Capital

According to the results of the new study conducted by the American Global Language Monitor analytical group, London unexpectedly became the fashion capital of the world number one, ahead of New York that had been holding the honorary title for three years.Of course, London has been “brought” to the top of Fashion Olympus by Kate Middleton and Alexander McQueen fashion house, whose designers have created a wedding dress for the new British princess.

Apart from London, the three leading cities include New York, which is a runner-up, and Paris. The first dozen of fashion capitals of the world also includes Milan (the fourth place), Los Angeles (the fifth place), Berlin and Singapore which has won the title of the “fashion capital” for the first time over the previous eight years of annual surveys.

Twilight fans have been desperately waiting to come, when Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) will marry her sweetheart Edward Cullen in a mesmerizing and vintage wedding gown by designer Carolina Herrera in the movie ‘Breaking Dawn’.

Though the details of the dress have not revealed but we get the glimpse of Bella’s headpiece holding the veil. It’s a simpler style then the frillier Edwardian stuff. Its an elegant white satin piece, with cuts on the bias and long delicate sleeves.

While talking about the wedding gown designer Carolina Herrera said, “It is always a great pleasure to design any wedding gown, but this one was particularly special. Kristen is a stunning girl and her character, Bella, will make a beautiful bride.”

The Bella Swan’s Carolina Herrera dress will sell exclusively at Alfred Angelo stores featured in size range between 0 to 30W. The exact price is not yet revealed but the dress will be in price range of dresses in Alfred Angelo regular bridal collection.

Mango Accessories FW 2011-2012

The collection of MANGO Accessories Fall-Winter 2011 is various as always. Except bags, there are accessories in the rock style characterized by rivets, models with solid streamlined shapes and soft ones.
Like some of the bags, belts from the collection are designed to suit the “wild” and “natural” collection of jewelry, with cat prints and metal scales available.

The same print can be found among sunglasses, but only one model. This time, the glasses please the customers with a variety of colors, but their shape exclusively resembles “aviator glasses.”

Brioni Fashion Label

Italian couturier Brioni said Wednesday it was closing down its women's line and ending its contract with designer Alessandro Dell'Acqua to concentrate on its men's collection.

"The decision was necessary to re-focus resources on the menswear business, which has recently become more competitive and global," said the luxury label -- a favourite with stars like Pierce Brosnan, Cary Grant and Al Pacino.

Founded in Rome in 1945, the label had over 300 shops across the world by the 1990s and began expanding successfully into womenswear, signing up the Neapolitan Dell'Acqua in May 2010.

The announcement comes after a month of rumours that Brioni was planning to close down its women's line under pressure from luxury conglomerate PPR, which is in talks to buy the brand.

In its statement, the label denied the move had "any link" with the rumours.
